Feeding Kids with ADHD: science + practical tips

Feeding kids can be hard. And feeding kids with ADHD can have unique challenges that lots of the social media nutrition advice doesn’t really address. THAT’S why I made this course.

This course builds on the strategies inside Growing Intuitive Eaters 101 and Variety 101 to focus on the challenges that ADHD kids often face when eating – sensory aversions, difficulty sitting at the table, low appetite due to medications, and more. AND this course covers common questions about feeding kids with ADHD including supplements, food dye, and sugar.

This course is currently being released with 1-3 videos each month, so make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel or check back regularly for new videos (but if you subscribe, you don’t have to remember to check back… for those of us parents who ALSO have ADHD).

Hi 👋 I’m Dr. Taylor and I am so glad you are here! I have a PhD in nutrition, am a pediatric registered dietitian, and am a mom of 3.

In this course, I share the science (with citations – of course), my clinical experience, and a little bit of mom know-how. Each video is complete with key points, homework, additional resources, and citations (if applicable) in the caption. Some videos have PDF downloads too! A fully comprehensive course.

One of my favorite parts of this course? It’s FREE. 100% completely free. No up-selling, no saving my best info for inside a paid membership, no annoying sales e-mails. I believe that EVERY parent should have easy access to this info. So I decided to take action on that belief and create this course.

REMINDER: This course is currently in launch mode and is NOT YET COMPLETE. More videos to come…

FAQ

This course is for parents of kids with ADHD and anyone who cares for kids with ADHD. This information is also helpful for ADHD adults, especially if you are a kid-at-heart.

Depends! Growing Intuitive Eaters 101 is usually the best place to start. And this course also builds on Variety 101 – the picky eating basics course. However, if you feel really good about your child’s relationship with food (and yours) – then Feeding Kids with ADHD may be the best place to start! These courses are designed so you can come back to the videos that you need, when you need them. So you may find that you will need to come back to these videos as your family’s feeding journey evolves.

NO. Online courses or programs, regardless of the claims made in them, are never a good replacement for live 1:1 or group therapy delivered by a certified professional. The purpose of this course is to provide parents with education and information, not to replace a feeding therapist or dietitian on your child’s medical team.

This course SPECIFICALLY focuses on kids with ADHD. Most other picky eating courses are designed for neurotypical kids or provide very generalizable advice. This course was designed to educate about the specific and unique eating challenges that ADHD kids and their families face. In this course, ADHD is not an afterthought or a disclaimer… it’s the FOCUS.

Because I think every parent deserves to have evidence-based, helpful, and FREE information to support them in feeding their kids. This course is a comprehensive introduction to solid food course — and I promise I won’t try to upsell you on anything or hide my best information behind a paywall.
